A Path to Balance and Wellness

Have you ever gazed in wonder when you happen upon a group of people in a park moving together in a gentle graceful almost hypnotic dance.

Could they be following Qigong Shibashi? A Chinese practise which has evolved through the years but roots in ancient Chinese History and philosophies.

As a Health and Wellness Practitioner, my journey with Qigong Shibashi, Tai Chi, started a few years ago while studying and training. Years later I continue to study and train in this enriching practice for inner and outer wellness.

Facts

Qigong (pronounced "chee-gong") dates back over 4,000 years and is rooted in Chinese medicine, philosophy, and martial arts. It’s a holistic practice aimed at cultivating life force energy, known as "Qi".

Qigong is often practiced for its health benefits. It combines breathing techniques, meditation, and gentle movements to enhance physical and mental well-being.

In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), it is believed that Qigong helps balance the body's energy systems, enhancing vitality, promoting longevity, and preventing illnesses.

Scientific Research has shown that regular Qigong practice can improve circulation, reduce stress, enhance immune function, and help with conditions like hypertension, arthritis, and anxiety.

Qigong is increasingly being integrated into Western healthcare systems, particularly for managing chronic pain and promoting mind-body wellness.

The movements in Qigong are typically slow, deliberate, and fluid, often resembling Tai Chi. People of all ages and physical abilities can do this, even seated, making Qigong a highly accessible practice.
