About Me
With over two decades of experience as a qualified Health and Wellness Practitioner, my journey began during the challenging yet rewarding years of single parenthood. As a mother of young children, I intimately understood the struggles of sleepless nights, colic, and childhood illnesses like Chicken Pox. My son's battle with acute asthma further deepened my commitment to nurturing and holistic healing.
Despite the demands of parenting, I pursued my passion for wellness, offering therapies that were not only calming and nurturing but also immensely valuable on multiple levels. As my children grew and embarked on their own paths, I seized the opportunity to return to college, embracing the role of a mature student and overcoming challenges such as dyslexia. At one point, my youngest son and I were even enrolled in the same college—a testament to our shared pursuit of knowledge and growth.
Today, with my children all grown up and families of their own, they still turn to me for "mum's magic," along with my cherished grandchildren. Over the years, I've continuously expanded my skills and knowledge through ongoing study, training, and life experiences, including navigating cancer, mental health struggles, hormonal health, lifestyle adjustments, exercise, and complementary therapies.
I attribute much of my ethos and approach to the wisdom imparted by my beloved mother, who instilled in me the values of kindness, respect, and finding purpose. Her simple yet powerful mantra—treat others as you wish to be treated, be kind, find your purpose for yourself, and always maintain a sense of humour—continues to guide me each day.
My mother's love for the beauty of nature sparked my early interest in aromatherapy, culminating in my childhood experiments with rose petals and fragrances. Though my first attempts may have resulted in less-than-perfect outcomes, I've since refined my skills and deepened my understanding of natural healing modalities.
However, amidst the joys and triumphs of life, I've also endured profound loss, including the passing of my beloved mother to cancer when I was just 21. This experience profoundly shaped my perspective, fueling my dedication to supporting others facing similar challenges and emphasising the transformative power of health, wellness, and non-invasive therapies.
As a passionate and compassionate therapist, I am committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those I serve. Through personalised care, nurturing support, and holistic approaches, I strive to empower individuals on their journey to optimal health and well-being by thriving not surviving.
